Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson who were both lawyers. At the age of five years old and moved to Oxfordshire and enrolled at her first Dragon School. Emma was six years old when she decided she wanted to be an actor. She was trained for many years in Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a full-time school of theatre in Oxford in which she learned acting as well as singing. As part of a school production and an Stagecoach show, she took her role as lead actress at 10 and performed. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the 2001 adaptation of J.K. Rowling's bestselling British book was released in 1999. Emma was discovered by casting agents through Emma's Oxford theater teacher. After eight auditions consistently, the producer David Heyman told Emma and fellow applicants Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint that they had been cast for the roles of the three lead characters Hermione Granger Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. The release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's first cinematic screen appearance. This film was 2001's highest earning film, smashing records at the opening as well as the first weekend. The film was praised by critics, as were the performance of three actors. The Daily Telegraph in Britain that is distributed widely the newspaper, described her performance as outstanding. Emma was later awarded five prizes in recognition of her work in the movie.
