Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German actress on television and film best known for her performances in films like Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Alexandra was the only child of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. When she was 16, she had already been offered a variety of television roles including the lead role in Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. The audience was impressed by her portrayal in Der Tunnel. This paved for her to play other memorable performances, like Adolf Hitler's secretariat Traudl Junge.
